A matter of C(G)lass

GLASCOAT makes glass that makes sense and a lot of profit for the end user! Over the years, GLASCOAT has continuously generated various types of glass formulations with superior strength, quality and performance.

GEL2200 :

GLASCOAT GEL2200 glass offers complete protection against corrosion across the entire pH range and has excellent resistance to radii spalling, which allows easy and safe application on geometrically complex and curved surfaces. GEL2200 has unique combination of having higher impact, wear resistance and also higher thermal conductivity.

The corrosion resistance of GEL2200 for various acids and alkalies at a given concentration and temperature are shown in iso corrosion curves. These curves are obtained from the test procedure as per DIN - ISO standards. Refer figure 1. The test procedure gives consideration to volume to glass surface area ratio which is an important parameter pertinent to glass-line equipment in service.

NUCLEA GEL 4000 :

The latest entrant in the GLASCOAT stable is a result of relentless R&D that denotes real face of an innovative organisation like GLASCOAT. The recently developed NUCLEA GEL4000 is a glass ‘n’ steel formulation that exhibits exceptional resistance to extra ordinary high temperatures. This substance is an example of constant endeavours in the field of product development and an inclination towards synthesizing best of engineering practices and technological advancements.

Nuclea Gel-4000 glass is suitable for higher temperature (325 oc) processes. It exhibits improved thermal-shock properties that facilitates faster heating and cooling thus resulting into reduction of process cycle time.
